Atomic Gameboard. 原子双六

Blocks 14 to 16 (Second Row Up)

As players start their second circle around the gameboard, they encounter a basic lesson on radioactive decay on Block 14. In this illustrated example, an electron flies out of the neutron and changes into a proton. On Block 15, players receive a short lesson on uranium fission and nuclear power. They learn that these same principles, which were used to create the atomic bomb, can also be used to generate a tremendous amount of energy and solve Japan’s power problems (Nihon no denryoku mondai). Following this lesson, on Block 16, the four heroes of the game set off a nuclear reaction in Uranium 235. As Proton says, by throwing in one neutron, a chain reaction takes place where more and more atoms are split in half.
