With the slogan “No More Hiroshimas,” Block 19 offers a subtle critique of the detonation of the world’s first atomic bomb for purposes of war in 1945. Following its call to use nuclear power for peaceful purposes (genshiryoku wo heiwa no tame ni), Block 20 discusses positive developments in the latest research on mesons. Block 21, turns again to the darker side of quantum research however: The testing of nuclear bombs at Bikini Atoll from 1946.
